Guns N' Roses had several guitarists throughout the years, but the most well-known and influential were Slash and Izzy Stradlin.
Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, joined Guns N' Roses in 1985 and quickly became the face of the band with his signature top hat and curly hair. He is known for his blues-influenced guitar playing, heavy use of pentatonic scales, and his iconic solos such as the one in "Sweet Child o' Mine." Slash left the band in 1996 due to creative differences, but has since rejoined for various reunion tours.
Izzy Stradlin was a founding member of Guns N' Roses and played rhythm guitar as well as contributed to songwriting. He had a more laid-back, punk-influenced guitar style and was known for his catchy riffs and distinctive tone. He left the band in 1991, but has made guest appearances with the group on occasion.
Other guitarists who played with Guns N' Roses include Gilby Clarke, Buckethead, and DJ Ashba. Each brought their own unique style to the band, but Slash and Izzy are considered the most iconic and influential members of the Guns N' Roses guitar lineup.
